This Privacy Policy describes how the Pricesmith Shopify app (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you install and use the app on your Shopify store.

Information we collect

Shop identifier — the*.myshopify.com domain of the store that installed the app.
Shopify access tokens — encrypted, used solely to read product data and write price changes on your behalf.
Product, variant, and metafield data — shadowed locally so we can evaluate price rules and produce diff previews quickly. We do not collect customer-identifying data.
Audit log — before/after price values per variant and the source of each change (manual, app rule, …) so merchants can review and roll back.

How we use the information

To evaluate the price rules you configure and apply them.
To detect drift between Shopify and our shadow and re-sync.
To show you an audit history of price changes inside the app.

Data sharing

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing. Operational sub-processors are limited to: Shopify (the platform we integrate with), the cloud hosting provider that runs this app, and an optional error-tracking service for crash reports.

Retention & deletion

When you uninstall the app, we receive anapp/uninstalled webhook and immediately delete every per-shop record (sessions, product/variant shadow, metafield definitions, price-change audit, and price sets). We also handle the GDPR shop/redact, customers/redact, andcustomers/data_request webhooks per Shopify’s App Store requirements.
